Hello:

I like to communicate via serial port (com2 for ex.), I like to set up the
baud rate, data format, etc.... and just sending and receiving single
characters. the old "bioscom" seems not supported anymore, is there a simple
way to do that??

Thanks
Maurice

Hi Maurice

Try the Turbopower's Async professional component suite.
Free and stable.

CreateFile() is used to open com ports.
See the "Communications Resources" heading in the help for CreateFile.

DCB structs are used to get/set com port settings.

ReadFile() is used to read data from the port.
WriteFile() writes data to the port.

Also see the help topic "Communications"

WOW Remy I cannot believe you found those
