I have just upgraded to BCB Pro 4 from BCB Pro 1.0. I have run into several problems trying to install my favorite old components. Problem 1) The first occurs while trying to add a single file Pascal source. The error "[Pascal Error] Comms.pas(198): Types of actual and formal var parameters must be identical." comes up. It looks like the new compiler is a little stricter? I have tried changing the Open and strict var options under the Pascal compiler options to no avail. Is there an easy way to get past this (without dinking with all the old pascal files)? Problem 2) The second occurs while trying to add an OBJ file. The error [Linker Error] Unresolved external '__fastcall Forms::TApplication::MessageBox(char *, char *, unsigned short)' referenced from C:\BORLAND\COMPONENTS\DIGITS.OBJ. comes up. MessageBox is a valid method for TApplication so why the error Both of these components worked fine in BCB 1.0. Thanks for any insight. Bill
