Thanks for your responses for my last message. It worked.

Still in the project upgrading from BCB1.0 to BCB3.0,
new errors come up:

493:    void __fastcall CheckCardType( SOCKET sock );
[C++Error] base.h(577): Type name expected.
[C++Error] base.h(577): Declaration missing ;.
[C++Error] base.h(577): Earlier declaration of 'TFormBase::SOCKET'.
577:   SOCKET         Sock1;

if I re-write line 493 as:     void __fastcall CheckCardType( SOCKET );
The related error " [C++Error] base.h(493): ) expected." is gone.

Seems something wrong with class SOCKET, which is defined in
<winsock2.h> ?

What do you think the problem is about ? Hope the information I provide
here
is enough for you to make judgement.
