Compatibility of dynamic libraries created in C++ Builder 5, 6 and 2007

Hello

My company main product is Win32 application created in plain C++. This application is using many dynamic libraries created in C++Builder 5 and C++Builder 6 and is using them at the same time. All libraries are using dynamic packages and dynamic RTL.

I’d like to upgrade C++Builder 6 to C++Builder 2007 and port source code form C++Builder 6 to C++Builder 2007.

Are dynamic libraries created with C++Builder 2007 compatible with dynamic libraries created with C++Builder 5 and can be used at the same time in one process? From which compiler should be used memory manager BorlndMM.dll?

Thanks

No because the interfaces have changed over the years. It might be as simple as
recompiling but you will not be able to use dll descending from the BCB5 VCL
with BDS2007. Or you might have to fix the code up to reflect the current VCL
interface.

Sorry, I didn't mention that this dynamic libraries hide all VCL code and export functionality through simple, compatible with C, interfaces. Also main program will still be created in plain C++, not in BDS2007, but it will have to load dll libraries created in C++Builder 5 and 2007.

I'd like to know whether runtime libraries from VCL 5 and VCL 10 can coexist. I'd like to know whether memory manager BorlndMM.dll from C++Builder 2007 can be used by libraries created by C++Builder 5 without problem.
