Hi, This question might be a challenge, so I hope somebody can help. If this is posted in the wrong newsgroup, please let me know. Many years ago (back in 1998), I built a game using Borland C++ Builder 1 (It can be downloaded through ftp://ftp.vanderlee.com/pub/x98_12.exe, it was a christmas gift at the time). The game still works fine on Windows 2000 and older OS versions, but starting WinXP, it doesn't. The error I get at startup is "<exe> is not a valid Win32 program" (or equivalent in other language, I translated this from Dutch). My own source-code and that of some 3rd party components I used did not age well, so recompilation would be a massive pain at best. Even 9 years after release I still get people mailing me with questions on how to run this on XP/Vista, and I'd really like to provide them a solution. Does anybody know what is causing this error? Is it common for all BCB 1 compiled programs? Is there a quick fix? If not; is there a less quick fix? kind regards, Martijn
