I have a soap web service (server and client) up and running a Firebird db.  When I request data from the client side using the data provider and data client set as implemented in the examples in Borland and from the C++ Builder 6 Developer's Guide, it returns the data after 2 minutes.  I've also used ADO and an access db.  It takes the same amount of time whether I return 1 or 10 records.  Anyone know how to speed things up?
