Compiling Dotnet v2.0

Hello,

I've upgraded my DotNet framework to version2. But does anybody know how I
can get C#Builder to use this ? When I try to include assemblies from the
new framework, the compiler keeps complaining that it's not a valid
assembly. Also I noticed that the the compiler C#Builder is using is still
the 'old' csc.exe. But I cannot find any option in the IDE to change to a
different version.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

Sorry, but there really is no way to use more than one version of .NET in
the same IDE. Even Visual Studio can't cope with this; you have to buy both
2003 and 2005 if you need both versions.

The next release of Delphi is planned to target .NET 2.0, but we will have
to wait and see if they can steal a march on MS and allow both 2.0 and 1.1.

Joanna

Look at the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Borland\BDS\4.0\DotNetFramework
It contains the path to csc.exe (the c# compiler) which the IDE uses.
Change this to point the 2.0 version of csc.exe.

Warning: Running the debugger by mistake will result in the BDS dying
a rather sudden and painful death.
