Hi, I have installed the new Visual C# 2005 beta version yesterday which also installs .Net framework 2.0 Now I wanted to test something with my C#Builder which I have installed and working for a year now. Suddenly the form designer is gone. I only get the Code tab. The Design tab is missing. And the context menu entry 'Show designer' is always disabled. Has anyone got a clue what could be the problem? Is there a version conflict with the newly installed framework? Does C#Builder not allow to install framework updates? thanks, Nick

Something must have happened, I would try uninstalling the 1.1 framework, SDK and Delphi and reinstall them. This worked the last time I ran into a similar symptom. -- Marc Rohloff [TeamB] marc rohloff -at- myrealbox -dot- com

thanks for the reply. I uninstalled .Net 1.1 framework, Sdk and C#Builder and did a complete new reinstall. The problem persisted. Now I removed Visual Studio and .Net 2.0 beta and my C#Builder is completely broken and can't load or create any project!! Errors about failed resource lookup with infinite loop detected... After a repair-install it now works and the designer tab is visible again. Maybe only a few registry settings become distorted by the new framework install? If I only knew which one I could write a script or so to dynamically set them. As it is I must find another machine to test Visual Studio, very sad... thanks again, Nick > There shouldn't be I have 2 machines with both framework versions and > no problems. > > Something must have happened, I would try uninstalling the 1.1 > framework, SDK and Delphi and reinstall them.
