Using Namespace
#36

Since C# Builder is included in D2005, I decided to try my hand at it. But
I'm having problems understanding how to use a namespace created in a
separate unit of code. I created a unit of code containing a namespace
called NETWORKING. I'd like to use members of that namespace in a project
that I'm coding. But evidently, just placing the "Using" directive in that
code doesn't help the compiler to find the namespace that I've created.
Please tell me what I must do to use the new namespace in my project? Does
it need to go in some special place or be registered with the IDE or what?

Thanks,
George

Well, I thought I had added this unit to the project, but evidently on my
first attempt to add the unit, something went wrong. I tried once more and
everything is working as it should.

Thanks,
Jorge

Is this unit included in the project, or has it been compiled into an
assembly? If the unit is included in the project, then you should be
able to simply use the 'using' directive. If the unit is part of an
assembly, you will need to add a reference to that assembly
(Project|Add Reference...).

What exactly are you doing? C# doesn't have units at all.

Maybe if you post some of the code it would be easier?

Thanks David. This is the type of feedback I need... I just decided on a
whim to try C# without knowing a thing about it. I'm learning the language
and the development environment and I appreciate everyone's indulgence
though my terminology might not be precise.
