I have been using Borland Products from years. Delphi was considered my
first class language just because I have made Windows applications and that
was made easy. Now when I started using the Delphi 2005 package I have been
trying to use the C# Builder part for developing an asp.net application and
I have recieved ntohing but, problems because of memory faults. (access
violations) in the IDE and when I compile the project the application
linkage is not working properly even implemementing the update 1. Clean
machine running windows xp pro sp2 and all the updates for security have
been applied P4 3.2 with 1.0 GB of ram and 200GB hard drive. I just
switched my asp.net application using Visual Studio.net 2003 and my
application is nice and stable and will never move back to using this
product unitl I know that this C# builder portion of Delphi 2005 is stable
because I can't afford my productivity to go down when I know that the IDE
evironment is nice and stable when I develop in visual studio now I wish
this will be resolved since I think this will be the demise of Delphi. When
I was @ a resent conference in Milwaukee, WI. Your staff was thinking about
adding multple personality (languages like C++) now this concerns because I
have had a lot of problems with this environment even in Delphi Win32
VCL.net and more importanty the whole .NET compilation of applications.
Please have your staff give me a reply back and I will call you on the
phone. I want to resolve this issue(s) because our development staff is
really worried with the direction with the way that Delphi is going (dead?)

Hope to hear from you soon.

These newsgroups are staffed by TeamB who are volunteers, not employed by
Borland.

Any communication posted here cannot be guaranteed to be read by Borland as
they only actively monitor the .install groups.

If you are having problems with installation, then post in that group,
otherwise try contacting Borland directly.

Don't have the time to play with this I would like to send my copy of Delphi
2005 back for a refund because I can't even develop in this environment.

Well, I am developing in C# in D2005 and, apart from the odd little hiccup
in the IDE, I am able to do plenty of work.

I may not work directly for Borland, but can you say what kind of problems
you are having? There are some relatively easy fixes that have been
discussed extensively in these groups.

Have you installed Update 1?

Have you installed Together; if so this has been a major source of
instability. Try either removing Together ro doing a fresh install, without
it.

Also, I would recommend that you install all personalities (Delphi32,
Delphi.NET and C#. At the moment it seems to work better than missing any of
them out.

There is another patch coming.
