How does one move an int value from a a data column

    DataColumn dcolRed = new DataColumn("RedValue");
    dcolRed.DataType = typeof(int);

    ...

   int R = colourTable.Rows[lineCtr][dcolRed]. ???;

.toString doesn't work .. error connot convert string to int .. no surprise 
there.
