removing Font Meta data

I have a windows app where users enter diary data in to a rich text 
component.
this component supports all the various font options. the data is stored in
a Text field in MS SQL 2000 db.
I have a .net website that presents the diaries. Unfortunately it shows
all the font meta data as well. is there a way to prevent the font data from
showing up?
