| Are there any preformance issues (good or bad) regarding the boxing and
| unboxing of class type objects?

Any instance of any class is implicitly an object, therefore no penalty is
incurred in simply casting it to object.

Neither is there any real penalty in casting from object to a class.

Note that this is *not* boxing/unboxing; that term only applies to casting a
*value type* to/from object.
