EAbort is "silent" insofar as it's ignored by the default global application exception handler. Thread.Abort in .NET raises ThreadAbortException, so that's pretty close. But AFAIK there's no such thing as a "silent" exception in .NET as with EAbort, and there is no global exception handler by default in a WinForms app. So you can probably do what you want by throwing an exception -- probably a custom exception -- but you'll have to handle it yourself. -- Craig Stuntz [TeamB] .
