I'm sorry I don't want to be a pain but it isn't getting any clearer!

A proposition, let's go another way.
The main documentation I look at is "Writing Services Programmatically" it's
in the ".NET Framework Developer's guide" (Just press F1 in C#Builder and
search for the title in the SDK library, but you know this).

In this article there is explanation that follows 10 steps.
I'll tell you witch parts I've problems with.
Especially problems I mention in step 1 and 9 got me stumped:

Step 1)
How do I create an empty project?
The reference is something like: "using System.ServiceProcess; " at the top
of the file, right?

Step2)No problem, a class I named : MyService (previous to me writing you
1st time it was called JurService)

Step3)Shouldn't this be part of the class in Step2 ??  I mean  " Step2{
Step3{ }} "

Step4) This is just the main() part of the program, right?

Step5) No problem.

Step 6) No problem.

Step 7)
Here they mean the two other classes Windows Service Installer and
WindowsServiceProcessInstaller ,right?
Judging by your previous mail I can put these class defs in the same .cs
file, right ?
If so where do I place them within the file?
The code examples in another part of the guide look like they should be in a
separate file, don't they? see "ServiceProcessInstaller class" in ".NET
Framework Class Library"

Step 8)
Compile , right?

Step 9)
This one I don't get at all. "Setup project"?

Step 10)

This is the installing as a service with the InstallUtil.exe , right?

So as I see it know I have three .sc files MyService , MyServiceInstall and
MyServiceProcessInstall I compile / build these into a MyService.exe witch I
then install as a service with InstallUtil.exe.

Answer these questions and I'll be off your back forever !!!

Seriously thanks for all your time so far...
regards
