I am looking at using the error provider for validation. I have got it
working for the onvalidatin/onvalidation events of the various bound
controls for most cases. However I was wondering how do you reset the
errorprovider when the user cancels? Do I have to keep track somehow of the
last control that set the error on the errorprovider or is there some easier
way?

If you set the CausesValidation porperty of your cancel button to
false then the validating events should never be triggered.
