In article <430b9461$1@newsgroups.borland.com>, carlca@dircon.co.uk says... > <tumbleweed blows across the deserted main street/> With the number of people about I think this is more likely a seedy back alley than a main street. > <in the distance a lone wolf howls a ghostly howl/> Shouldn't that be either a lone ghost or a wolfly howl? If you're going to clutter up this pristine newsgroup you could at least be accurate! :D

I'll assume you have a new project with a form in called the default 'WinForm' that you want to use as your base class. A couple of things: 1) It needs to have a public parameterless constructor so that the designer can create an instance of it. 2) You probably want to change the Modifiers property of your controls to something like family (protected) or public Compile your project * Create a new Winform * Change its base class from System.Windows.Forms.Form to Project1.WinForm (the name of your base form) * Close the editor tab in the IDE and reopen it. BTW, There are plenty of people listening, what's really lacking is people asking questions. -- Marc Rohloff [TeamB] marc rohloff -at- myrealbox -dot- com
