Incompatibility between ClientDataSet.Delta and OleVariant in Delphi 6
#83

 I am making 3-tier application. When I am trying to update database with
DataSetProvider.ApplyUpdates I am getting Error Massage "Invalid Data
Packet" on the server side. Here is the code:
Client:

Procedure

Var

    Deltadata : OleVariant;

Begin

  If ClientdataSet.ChangeCount > 1 then DeltaData :=  ClientdataSet.Delta;

Dcom.AppServer.UpdateDelta (DeltaData)

Server

Procedure UpdateDelta ( Data : OleVariant)

Begin

   DataSetProvider.ApplyUpdates(Data);

  The Problem is that when I am Calling Dcom.AppServer.UpdateDelta
(DeltaData) I am getting error on the server side Invalid DataPacket. When I
am calling the same procedure with
com.AppServer.Update( ClientdataSet.Delta) it works fine. Is it some problem
in communication between client and Server and OleVarinat format or
something else?

 In the Delphi 5 this program works fine. What is the Difference between D5
and D6? The both version runs on the same PC, with the same operating system
and settings.

Windows 2000, Com +, Oracle 8i, Ole dbProvider for Oracle, Microsoft Odbc
for Oracle, MtsDataModul, Mdac 2.6 (Ado).

 Any help appreciate!
