This question probably belongs in another news group, but I am working with ASP.NET. This has happened to me a couple of times. I'll be working with a project and try to add a component (in this case, a BdpDataAdapter) and get an error message stating "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I've back tracked and deleted the last few components and code that I installed, but nothing seems to get rid of the message and let me go forward. Does anyone have an idea of what is causing this, or how to fix it? Thanks.

It could be anything you have declared in your code and try to use it without having called its "create" method first. "T.J. Thanks. This only happens when I try to add a component. I suppose Delphi could be waiting for something and not let me go forward. However, I can compile and run the program without any error messages (and without the new component). Does that still fit your scenerio.
