Jesper, I followed you recommandations, so here's what I've done :
- I cheched Tools | Options | Environment Options | [x] Shw Command line
- I saved the output on my desktop, cut & paste it into a file named
Optimise.txt
- I made a batch consisting of one line : "C:\Program
Files\Borland\BDS\4.0\Bin\make" -B -fOptimise.txt
- It didn't work until I added a switch ("-") to every single option
beginning with $ (eg $A8 => -$A8)
- The problem was "unknow option -C0 so I removed this option
- Now there's a problem I can't solve : everything is in a folder with a
long name, and a space in it : "C:\Olivier\Sources\Sources olivier\Acarat".
So when I call make the error is :
Fatal: F1026 File not found : 'olivier\Acarat\.dpr'
Any idea of how to solve it (except renaming my dir into a stone-age short 8
chars name) ?
Thanks a lot.
BTW here's my makefile :
Acarat.exe: Acarat.dpr

I finally found out that I had to put everything between "" e.g. -R"c:\program files\borland\bds\4.0\Ocx\Servers;c:\program files\borland\bds\4.0\Source\ToolsApi" and the first problem was because the -E directive has added a backslash which caused interpretation problems so here's the beginning of the make file : ACARAT_PATH=C:\Olivier\Sources\Sources olivier\Acarat "$(ACARAT_PATH)\Acarat.exe": "$(ACARAT_PATH)\Acarat.dpr" dcc32 \ -$A8 -$B- [snip] -E"$(ACARAT_PATH)" \ [snip]

Fwiw, I would define a lot more macros; for directory names, compiler, debug options, release options. That makes the make script easier to move between machines and in general to tweak for different situations. --Jesper
