Currently when writing BLOB data to a database, I stream the contents into a byte array and assign this to a BdpParameter used in a parameterised query. Is it possible to persist data to an Interbase BLOB field in smaller chunks, rather than using this approach? I've seen many examples using ADO.NET of reading BLOB data in chunks, but none for writing them back to the database in this way (apart from some showing SQL Server specific techniques being used). -- Cheers, David Clegg dclegg@gmail.com http://cc.codegear.com/Author/72299 QualityCentral. I believe the only way to do this is to go directly to the InterBase API. -- Wayne Niddery - Winwright, Inc (www.winwright.ca) "Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon." - Winston Churchill

I'll investigate this approach, but all pointers in this direction greatfully received :-) -- Cheers, David Clegg dclegg@gmail.com http://cc.codegear.com/Author/72299 QualityCentral.
