Hi Guido,

What do you want to connect? The BdpConnection can act as Connection
property for the SelectCommand, InsertCommand, DeleteCommand and/or
UpdateCommand of the BdpDataAdapter, but you have to create an instance
of these before you can assign their Connection property.

> 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object ' ERROR

Otherwise you might indeed get the above error (the BdpCommand is not
yet assigned)

Just select the BdpDataAdapter (click on it) and then click on the
"Configure DataAdapter" link at the bottom of the Object Inspector. This
will start the BdpDataAdapter Configuation Dialog that you can use to
create the Select, Insert, Update and Delete commands (just check the
checkbox of the commands you want). Note that the BdpConnection
component will automatically be selected as the Connection property
value for all BdpCommands that you use here (if there are multiple
available BdpConnection components you can use the drop-down combobox to
select one).

For more info and a screenshot, see the "Configure Data Adapter" section
of http://www.drbob42.com/examines/examin52.htm

Are you opening the project in Delphi 2005 as well as Delphi 2006? (i.e.
does it have different assembly references in the reference list?)

One thing to check: go to the Project Manager, open up the project node
and then the References node. For each assembly listed in the References
list, make sure the "Copy Local" setting it set to False. Just in case
this was copied from the Delphi 2005 project to 2006... (setting Copy
Local to True might introduce a number of nasty design-time problems
since the assembly is then found in two places: the GAC and your local
project directory)...

No, i have checked this, first... but copy local is set to false for each
assembly and before installing D2006 i've formatted my HD and installed only
D2006...
PS : I created a new project and the problem is the same ... (is a bug IDE,
believe in me :-)

Thank u BOB
