Datagrid: formatting DateTime to Time only

I have a DateTimePicker where I have set custom format to HH:mm. The 
user enters a time in there, it gets saved to an SQL-Server DB table, 
alas as today's date plus the time the user has entered. And it's 
displayed the same in my datagrid. Is there any way to either save it as 
time only or as displaying it as time only?
