I'm moving data from a MSSQL 6.5 table to another MSSQL 6.5 table that has some new fields. I want one of the fields to just get 'D' placed in it but BatchMove tells me there's no field named D. In another instance of this I will be taking a phone number field that was 10 characters and splitting it up into area code, prefix, suffix using substring. But my guess is the BatchMove won't do this either. Is there a way to get BatchMove to do the above? If not, is there a way to write an SQL statement that will do something similar to batchmove like commit every 100 records and keep going on key violations (or overwrite the record on key violations)? Thanks. Don Gollahon (dlgllhn@ibm.net)
