Hi,

I'm having some trouble deploying BDE 5.1 using Installshield Express
version 2.01.  I've already looked up the Borland and Installshield sites
without success.

When I install an application which uses BDE 5.1 on a clean Windows 95 machine
and then run BDE Administrator I get the following error message;

"System configuration file not found.  System defaults are in use"

I guess that BDE Administrator can't find the idapi32.cfg file.  If I then
manually add an alias everything's fine, but that's not the point is it!

I've already added the bantam.dll and *.btl files and have swapped the
Installshield version of the idapi32.cnf with a version saved from my
installation of BDE 5.1.  The version of 5.1 I have is very recent (last
week) and was downloaded after their recent bug fix.  All the files loaded
are version 5.1.

Anyone know what's going on?
