Hi everybody! I've been developing in delphi7 for the past few months, and has you might expect these groups have been an invaluable source of relief.... Yet this is the first time i'm really stumped, so i decided to take a chance and see if anyone has already been in my shoes (actually i know they have, but since there was no answer...). The thing is that i'm trying to use the "Oracle Provider For Ole DB" in one of my connections just for a very basic concurrency management (ServerSideCursors and PessimisticLocking, perhaps this is the culprit...). I kind'a got it working on a test app ( uhuh!! ) but when i tried to get it working on the main app i realised that the master/detail datasets didn't work. Tried a master/detail in the test app and that didn't work either.. It just keeps throwing me a giberish error message like "???" (in the best case scenario) when i try to open the detail dataset. I've already seen that i'm not the only one on this boat: http://groups.google.com/group/borland.public.delphi.reporting-charting/browse_thread/thread/fb29fe233c70f77b/5a05a16d1fbcc2e6?lnk=st&q=master%2Fdetail+%2B+%22oracle+provider%22&rnum=1#5a05a16d1fbcc2e6 http://groups.google.com/group/borland.public.delphi.database.ado/browse_thread/thread/3422086e5ddd7832/6785b63e124743d4?lnk=st&q=master%2Fdetail+%2B+%22oracle+provider%22&rnum=2#6785b63e124743d4 i'm just hoping that this time there's some answers. Help me stop my computer giving me the finger... Greetings, Bruno Nunes P.S. - Sorry for the long post and for any mistakes...English not my native language...
