🚀 go-pugleaf

I have an application thta I have been working on for a number of
years. It is an MDI application and the child forms handle various
processing tasks, there are no documents involved. I use the MDI form
to contain the subforms nicely in my application.
Now I have discovered a really annoying problem:
Each child form has its own menu with functions specific to that form.
In D5 and before this has not created any problems, but now when I try
to build the program using D6 (my current environment) the result is
astonishing. the menu bar starts out with the menus arranged to the
right instead of to the left. Then when I switch between the forms the
menus progressively are replaced by minimize buttons and after a while
nothing is left of my menus! There are instead 6-7 minimize buttons on
the MDI child menu bar!!!!

If I close D6 and insetad open D5 and open the project and build it in
this environment then the result is as expected, all menus are located
to the left and no strange extra minimize buttons appear.

What is going on here?
Any ideas?
(Delphi5 & 6 Professional on Win XP Pro with SP1 applied. D6 update 2
applied.)
