If you use DIBs, with identical headers and copy the full bitmap, then you can copy the pixel memory directly. BTW: How you have measure the time? GetTickCount is not usable to do this. Your problem is mainly a graphic problem. I have crosspost to borland.public.delphi.graphics and set a followup. A anwer on this posting should show in the graphic newsgroup. Bye Peter.
