Does anyone know how to really hide files and directories in a Windows OS - and I don't mean just changing the file property to "hidden". You see - I have made an application that saves information to files but I don't want these to be visible for the user when he checks "view hidden files" in Explorer. I've seen some applications doing this so I know it is possible. Thanks Thomas

Some ways to hide files: - Hooking Win32 API - Hooking Native API - Filtering file systems (FS Filter Driver) See www.rohitab.com for an API hook example. See www.sysinternals.com for Native API hooks and FS Filter Driver examples. Tobias
