Virtually all applications I have installed on my computer have icons next to menu items (e.g. the folder image in File->Open) but I can't find a way to do that with a System.Windows.Forms.MainMenu/System.Windows.Forms.MenuItem. Surely it's got to be doable??? If not, what component do I have to use instead? TIA. Brigitte

Entering .Net mainmenu ownerdraw in google gets a wealth of hits, here's one from msdn: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.menuitem.ownerdraw.aspx The Graphics property also has methods for drawing images. -- Wayne Niddery - Winwright, Inc (www.winwright.ca) "Bandwagons are like streetcars, there'll be another along in a few minutes."
