I have installed IBConsole as per Gelein's instructions on my Win2k workstation (I currently have 8.0.0.27 installed). When I attempt to start the new IBConsole, I get the following error message:- Application Error : The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c59bc81. What am I missing ?

Simon, I currently have no win2k machine around so I can't check it out if it is related to win2k. Try to extract the whole zipfile into a temporary directory and run IBConsole from that directory.

Tried that, new directory, extracted contents of zip into it (6 files) - same error. Anyone else tried with Win2k Pro ?

Update - I've tried this on another workstation with Win2kPro and I get the same problem. - after the error I get a dialog with "RunTime error 217 at 0041FE86" Runs fine on an XP SP2 workstation I have.

Simon, Are you sure it was runtime error 217, because that stands for typing ctrl-c?

Gelein, Yes it's definitely 217 - I've just repeated it. The error comes up immediately after the double-click to start. 8.0.0.27 and 7.5.0.26 both run as expected on both Win2k workstations.

To support Vista I had to update DevExpress, but this requires GDI+, which is not default present on Win2K. I made some patches (extra checks) and now it seems to run again on Win2k. I hope to make a new beta release by the end of the week.
