Gelein:

I have a database that has had some metadata changes made. Prior to making
the changes, a particular FK constraint shows cascade delete and works
correctly. After making the changes, the metadata for the FK still shows as
cascade delete, but looking at the FK via the table editor shows RESTRICT.
I assume that the table editor is looking for the DELETE condition in some
other system table. Can you let me know what query the Table Editor is
using to display FK information?

We're still trying to track down what's causing the problem. The FK works
fine in IB 7.1 but not in IB 2007.

Thanks,

Dan Palley

Dan,
The table editor displays the RDB$DELETE_RULE field of
RDB$REF_CONSTRAINTS.

Dan,
I got your mail. It helped me to find the bug, which will be fixed in
the next beta release. Hope you got my reply too.

Gelein, thanks. I've determined that the grid on the Table Editor screen is
wrong. If you have more than one constraint, the settings for the 2nd one
appear duplicated on the first one. I've sent you some screen snaps via
email. Let me know if you didn't receive them.

I didn't see your reply. Can you resend?
