InterServer has a memory leak which occurs if you do many statements. I'm wondering is the cause here. Look to see how much memory is allocated for InterServer and if it growing. It is worth noting we no longer officially support InterBase 6 or InterServer any longer. InterBase 7 has a new type 4 driver and I suspect your problem will not occur there as there is no InterServer with it.
