Grettings;
I just installed InterClient 2.5.
When I try to test the install the applet gives me the following error:

InterClient Release:                   2.50.5, Client/Server Edition
InterClient compatible JRE versions:   1.3
InterClient compatible IB versions:    6
InterClient driver name:               interbase.interclient.Driver
InterClient JDBC protocol:             jdbc:interbase:
InterClient JDBC protocol version:     25005
InterClient expiration date:           Dec 30, 2010

An expired InterClient will not cease to function, rather
a suggestion to upgrade will be posted as a SQLWarning
for connections established after the expiration date.

Testing database URL jdbc:interbase://localhost/D:/scada_data/scada_base.gdb.

java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission 
accessClassInPackage.sun.io)
***** Installation problem detected! *****

I checked the classpath variable and the services file and all looks fat dumb and happy.
I'm running XP and have the following JDKs on my PC:
SE v1.4.0_03
SE v1.4.1_02
SE v1.4.2

I'm also having the same problem on a Win2K box with: SE v1.4.0_03
