	Is this the *exact* error message?

	IB won't allow indices on [VAR]CHAR columns greater than around 256
bytes. But since you don't give the full source for the table (e.g.,
DOMAINs, CONSTRAINTs, etc.) and the message looks like it isn't the
real message you're seeing, it's hard to tell.
