I don't (actually I never have read a single message on any of the FB forums,
but that doesn't stop people from sending me things they think are interesting),
someone forwarded that to me.

All Firebird had to do was stay backwards compatible with IB 6.0, they didn't.
I have explained in the past why I don't have time to work on both IBX and an

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher
a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build
a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act
alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer,
cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for
insects. (RAH)
