Peter,

The simplest way is to connect to the Configuration database in question
end execute an existing stored procedure:
EXECUTE PROCEDURE NOTIFYSERVER(2);

This procedure posts the correct event. You cannot post this event from
your source database in a trigger, since the Replication Server is not
listening for an event from that database.
