Replication when other applications have database open

I am getting an error message when trying to replicate a database when other processes have the database open as well. Is the correct: IBReplicator will only work when it has exclusive access to the database? 12/27/05 14:17:44: ErrorNo: 7 - I/O error for file "C:\DATANEW\TEAMDME.IDB" -Error while trying to open file -The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

It shouldn't lock the file. IB Repilcator should be going through the InterBase Server to do all its replication. By some chance do you have to version of InterBase installed ? Are you trying to copy the TEAMDME.IDB file using a windows application? hth -- Rob Schieck TeamB

Are you using the replication that comes with InterBase? I strongly recommend against it for various reasons. It short, I recommend using IBReplicator from IBPhoenix.
