Now I am a little confused : what is value recorded in DB ????

Using IBConsole

I enter in a date colum  04/24/2006 but I got error 'date is not valid ' 
, and 24/04/2006 is accepted.

In SQL if I run a query :
  select * from curcy_chg_date('ED','24/04/2006')
I get Error at line 1 - conversion error from string "24/04/06"
and 04/24/2006 or 2006/04/24 are accepted.

Obs. Date returned by query are in format dd/mm/yyyy
