My test database consists of this table:

CREATE TABLE "TEST_DATA" 
(
  "ID" INTEGER NOT NULL,
  "QTY" INTEGER,
  "QTY2" INTEGER,
CONSTRAINT "PK_TEST_DATA" PRIMARY KEY ("ID")
);

These test records:

INSERT INTO "TEST_DATA" ("ID", "QTY", "QTY2") VALUES (1, NULL, 4);
INSERT INTO "TEST_DATA" ("ID", "QTY", "QTY2") VALUES (2, 1, 2);
INSERT INTO "TEST_DATA" ("ID", "QTY", "QTY2") VALUES (3, 1, NULL);

and this query statement:

select sum(coalesce(qty2)) from test_data

The database is one created with IB2007 and is dialect 3.
