Good Day all Guru's I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I am trying to make a query that has a semi-complex sum routine. The sql statemwnt is as followed... SELECT dbo.pipeline.service_fluid, dbo.pipeline.nominal_diameter, sum(dbo.pipeline.length), sum(dbo.pipeline.length * (DATEPART(year, getdate()) - DATEPART(year, dbo.pipeline.commission_date))) FROM dbo.pipeline GROUP BY dbo.pipeline.service_fluid, dbo.pipeline.nominal_diameter I know that what I am calculating makes no sense but that is the calculation that the oil company wants. Know my problem is that Intrabuilder will not regonize the code until I turn requestLive to false. Once I do this it says that there is an error by '*' I do not understand this. I use the same SQL statement directly in SQL Server and it works perfect. Please any help is appriciated and needed Thanks -- Daniel Kosolofski Consultant CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants Inc. 333 Seventh Avenue S.W.
