I am using IntraBuilder 1.5 C/S with SQL Server 6.5 sp 4. I have an HTML page with links to my application reference tables, i.e. department, Instructor, etc.. While switching from row to row in a form for a reference table then to other forms for different reference tables, I get the message from SQL Server that the database connection failed, Max User Connections is exceeded. My questions are as follows: How do user connections get created in IB? Is it each form you open after you launch your browser session? Is is each query object on the form? When are the connections released? Does a connection get released when you open a form for a different table or is it when your browser session ends? How are User Connections managed when you instantiate a form using _sys.run()? I know that I can set the User Connections higher, but performance and resources on my server will take a hit. Can you explicitly close connections? -- Danny R. Gray Research Technician Department of Pathology UNC-CH School of Medicine
