Our IB application runs a stored procedure in an Oracle package that contains a moderately complex query. We are experiencing frequent "hung" sessions. That is, the procedure is run and returns a "successful" status code; but when the procedure is run again, no result or code is returned and an Oracle session remains behind and is not cleaned up until overnight maintenance processes are run. Seems like the procedure should either run and be complete, or fail and be complete, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Would anyone out there have any insight into this phenomenon?
