Hi everyone, I have a question regarding html links in either a form or a report - I would like to link to either another form or report and pass a parameter, but I would like to know if there is a way to open the item on the server side through either a _sys.reports.run() or something or anything instead of making lots of new ip calls to the server through the link and opening up several new connex for each person. I have tried to put a function into my html href, but they accept only client side functions and _sys functions do not work there. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks! Wendi

To the best of my knowledge this is not possible. Sorry ... calling another URL that has nothing to do with your IntraBuilder application shouldn't impact the IntraBuilder server anyway ... I am not calling outside outside urls, I am calling the IB server from reports with html links to other reports with more links all in the same app. To narrow down requests without asking the user to simply type something in b/c they always make spelling errors. But, Oh well. Thanks again. Wendi

But, Oh well. Thanks again. Check the Inprise website, I believe in the IntraBuilder tech support area are some FAQs and such, and one of them may cover what you're looking for. It will probably have to do with sessions ... Ken --- Ken Mayer [TeamB] Golden Stag Productions http://www.mindspring.com/~hirschv/homepage.htm http://www.mindspring.com/~hirschv/dbase/dbase.htm
