I've been trying this out all morning.
I've used the Guestbook example forms to configure the SMTP server settings.
They look OK
Whenever I try to call the sendMail function it crashes Intrabuilder -either
the designer (local W95 or NT) or the agent (on the same NT box as my SMTP
server).

I've tried a simple call like this using literals as parameters:

var success =sendMail('jburges@mktpoint.com','intrabuilder','test','test');
   if (success) {this.form.pageno =2}
   else {this.form.pageno = 3}

I've also tried using the GBmail.jfm form supplied with IB, with the same
result.

Any Ideas anyone?

Hi!
For me things look like following:
- probably maisock.dll is not working with some mail servers
- for me personally it sometimes sends message, sometimes not and always
returns false - but there were many letters, that this works, but I don't
state at which conditions

I gave up with the MAILSOCK.DLL and downloaded
and REGISTERED EmailDLL from TLR Software Publishing

http://www.halcyon.com/thom/

EmailDLL works for me! They've been great with the support..
