Is there a way to draw (just a basic rectangle) outside of a Java application's window frame? If anyone is familiar with the Zoomin utility that comes with MS Visual C++, that's exactly the functionality I want, when you drag the mouse cursor out of the window. (A rectangle follows the mouse around so you can specify what part of the screen you want to zoom in on.) How can this be done?
