XYLayout is simply a wrapper around null (no) layout manager at all.
You can use null layout instead, it just isn't quite as intelligent within
the Designer.

Yes.  Borland's custom layout managers are in the jbcl package, and that
package was mostly excluded from JBuilder Foundation.
