Here is a snippet of my run() method

    public void run()
    {
        while ( !_done )
        {

            if ( doWork() )                //would an external interupt harm
this task?
                continue;

            try
            {
                //waiting for an interrupt to continue
                sleep(0x7FFFFFFF);
            }
            catch (InterruptedException e )
            {
            }
        }
    }

Any suggestion?
