Just a quick question.

What is the best way to store image data for easy manipulation,
java.awt.Image is not an option. I have it stored in an array, but was
wondering would a 2 dimensional array be more beneficial or is there any
other data structure that can do the job for me. I need a data structure so
that it is easy to manipulate the image data, e.g. rotation etc..
