JB Professional and Enterprise have the Archive Builder, a wizard which leads
you through building jars for various types of Java programs.  If you're using
Personal, you don't have the Archive Builder, so you have to use your JDK's
jar command to build it yourself.

If I were you, I'd order a copy of the JBuilder Enterprise Evaluation
and use that for your evaluation instead of Personal.  You'll be able
to test everything you're interested in that way.

The key point to remember is that JBuilder is just an IDE, it doesn't
control how portable your applications will be.  That's up to you and the
JDK you select for developing and running the code.  I recall that Mac's
have been slow to keep up with Java, so you'll need to select the JDK you
expect to have on your Macs, and write your app for that JDK.
